Ask me question time & life update

Ask me for my top five favorite [blank] — any subject (but bear in mind that if I'm not comfy with it or it doesn't apply, I may get creative), and I will do my best to answer.
Life update time. It has been just over a week since I was let go from my job. I had a bad few days there as far as my mental state goes, but I am trying to stay positive. An offer from a friend, Kyo, to come visit her today really helped. She is offering to cover gas expenses & thrift store shopping for a mutual friends wedding that is coming up & let me borrow a dress from her, if one fits. This is a big issue that was weighing on me, as we currently have no nice clothes to go to the wedding in. Yay for amazingly generous friends! She is the one who gave me & J a car last Dec, so she is definitely in the running for winning most generous friend of the year.
On the job hunting front, I have had 2 interviews with 1 company that is supposed to get back to me by the end of this week. I also have an interview scheduled for Thursday with a call center about 30 mins away. I am fairly confident I can get that job, as I have been in call centers for the past 5ish years. The commute would suck, as J has to drive me there and back due to my current lack of drivers license. I guess we got spoiled by me working 5 mins away. * shrug
We didn't have any savings, so we were kinda screwed. Due to my parents and a few other generous friends' donations, we have enough funds to cover this months bills that were left, & rent for next month. 1. I had a turquoise green-blue top that had a pirate style ruffle on the front that covered all the buttons. I wore it with black dress pants and black shoes when I went with my parents to the Grand Ole Opera, years ago.
2. I have an orange top that has a wide neck and is super cute. I like to wear it with brown pants & boots in the fall.
3. I have a plain black polo that I often wear for work, with black pants. I can add some color with a shawl if I want.
4. The one skirt I have right now is a white & black vertical striped long skirt. I have to wear it as a high waisted skirt as I am soo short! I can wear it with a lot of t-shirts, so that's nice.
5. My comfy at home outfit is sweatpants or pajama pants with a t shirt. I often wear my handknit socks with it too. That is my fav thing to wear at home, even if it means I have to change to leave the house.

Well, you care enough about what you wear to want to have something nice for your friend's wedding. You don't need to be a "big fashion person" for that. As long as your closet doesn't look like Steve Jobs' (who wore the same thing every day because he didn't want to spend any time working out what to wear), there'll be enough variety in there to be interesting. Hope you enjoyed the exercise.

No, I think if I have all the same clothes I would go a bit nuts. I don't think I could deal with no color. I have a friend who has done this though.
